Siemens fire alarm systems — Comprehensive solution for new installations and retrofit
CAINtech undertakes supply, installation, programming, testing and verification of new fire alarm systems across Ontario. As a Siemens Value Added Partner, we are factory-trained by Siemens, to supply, install, program, test and verify installations under CAN/ULC-S537:2019, and undertake migrations from end-of-life Siemens fire panels to their state of the art Cerberus PRO fire alarm panels .

ACEND™ Intelligent Notification
Notification appliances that test themselves — without disturbing anyone
Siemens’ ACEND Intelligent is the only addressable notification line with built-in Class X isolation through ISOtechnology. Each horn, strobe, speaker, and combination device is individually addressable, can be activated on its own circuit, and supports DFT (Disturbance-Free Testing) — meaning the system tests itself automatically without interrupting daily operations.
- DFT self-testing — automated, scheduled, barely-perceptible (dim LED, light click) or full system simulation. No tenant disturbance for routine validation.
- Class X isolation built in — survivability and uptime are standard, not a luxury add-on. Single-fault tolerant out of the box.
- Building X cloud connectivity — real-time visibility from any device, anywhere. Same dashboard your inspection team uses.
- Full device family — horns (12 tones), strobes (15–185 cd), horn/strobes, speakers (300–8000 Hz, 1/8–2W), low-frequency 520 Hz sounders for sleeping areas.
- Interchangeable covers and lenses — amber, red, blue, green options for site-specific aesthetics.
- EcoTech certified — manufactured with 100% renewable energy, recycled materials, sustainable packaging.
“Survivability and uptime are no longer a luxury, but rather the standard for modern notification.” — Siemens, ACEND Intelligent product page
Aspirating smoke detection
ASD+ aspirating smoke detection — ultra-early warning for high-value spaces
Aspirating smoke detection draws air through a network of pipes to a central detector that samples for smoke particles — catching fires before they develop visibly. Used where spot detectors don’t work: data centers, high-bay warehouses, industrial manufacturing, lithium-ion battery storage. Siemens’ North American ASD+ line offers up to 21,500 sq ft coverage per unit — one of the largest available on the market.
ASD+
FDA422
Up to 5,000 sq ft
Single-pipe configuration for offices, server closets, electrical rooms. Smallest unit in the line.
ASD+
FDA442
Up to 10,000 sq ft
Mid-range coverage with dual-pipe capability. Typical for medium warehouses, mid-size data center halls.
ASD+
FDA461
Up to 15,000 sq ft
Single-channel large-area unit. Industrial manufacturing floors, larger storage facilities.
ASD+
FDA462
Up to 21,500 sq ft
Dual-channel large-area unit. The largest single-detector coverage available on the market. High-bay warehousing, mass storage, e-commerce fulfillment.
What makes ASD+ different from competing aspirating detectors
- Dual-wavelength optical detection reliably distinguishes real smoke particles from dust and steam — meaningfully lower false-alarm rate.
- Detects electrolyte off-gas from lithium-ion cell failure — the standard smoke detector misses this entirely. Critical for BESS, EV parking, data-center UPS rooms.
- Modular design — the detection chamber and aspirator are field-replaceable without reconfiguring the system. Lower lifetime maintenance cost.
- ASD Connect commissioning app — automated, intuitive setup. Reduces install time vs older aspirating systems.
- Direct integration with Cerberus PRO and Desigo Fire Safety panels — not a third-party gateway.
Cerberus PRO Modular vs Cerberus PRO Compact — which fits your building?
Both run the same Siemens addressable detection technology, ISOtechnology isolation, and ACEND notification line. The choice comes down to building scale and network architecture.

Cerberus PRO Modular
Up to 2,500 addressable devices
Network-connected modular architecture for high-rises, hospitals, campuses, and complex multi-building deployments. Full voice evacuation, the most addressable points per panel, Building X cloud connectivity.

Cerberus PRO Compact
FC922 / FC924 · up to 252 / 504 devices
Single- and dual-loop panels for small-to-mid commercial buildings and multi-tenant properties. Same detection technology and ISOtechnology isolation as Modular, in a compact form factor. Building X-ready.
CAINtech specifies both. We’ll recommend the right tier based on your building size, occupancy, and addressable-device count.
New fire alarm system offering, using Siemens Cerberus PRO fire alarm panels and devices, with optional integrated voice evacuation and mass notification — from FC901 small-commercial panels up to Modular systems with 2,500 addressable devices and more.

From small commercial to large institutional — the Cerberus PRO panel family
The Cerberus PRO platform scales across four panel families. CAINtech specifies the right tier for your building size, occupancy, and addressable-device count.
| Panel | Capacity | Typical application |
|---|---|---|
| Cerberus PRO FC901 | Up to 50 addressable devices | Small commercial buildings and tenant fit-outs. Compact form factor with ASA smoke detection built in. |
| Cerberus PRO Compact FC922 | Up to 252 addressable devices | Mid-sized commercial properties, multi-tenant buildings. Single-loop with ISOtechnology built-in isolation. |
| Cerberus PRO Compact FC924 | Up to 504 addressable devices | Larger commercial, healthcare, and educational facilities. Dual-loop configuration with voice evacuation and Building X cloud connectivity available. |
| Cerberus PRO Modular | Up to 2,500 addressable devices/panel | High-rises, large institutional campuses, hospitals, complex multi-building deployments. Network-connected modular architecture, full voice evacuation across networks, multiple addressable panels in one network with capabilities for multiple networks connected to a central Danger Management Station (DMS). |

System upgrade · End-of-life migration
Running a Siemens MXL system?
Siemens has formally moved the MXL fire alarm platform into end-of-life. Replacement parts are increasingly difficult to source, and continuing to maintain an MXL system means longer outages every time something fails. Migration to Cerberus PRO is the supported upgrade path.
As a Siemens Solution Partner, CAINtech handles MXL-to-Cerberus PRO migrations: site audit, phased panel replacement, device migration where compatible, CAN/ULC-S537:2019 verification, and AHJ sign-off. Most existing cabling and infrastructure can be retained, reducing the cost of the migration significantly versus a full rip-and-replace.
