What does fire suppression cover?
Three distinct system categories. Each has its own governing standard, inspection cycle, and qualification requirements. CAINtech runs all three:
Commercial kitchen fire suppression
Under NFPA 17A, commercial kitchen suppression systems require semi-annual maintenance. We test the detection links, replace fusible elements on the annual cycle, verify the actuation chain, and re-tag the system.
Pre-engineered systems shall be inspected and maintained at intervals not exceeding 6 months.

Post-activation service: CAINtech runs a 24/7 emergency line for kitchen suppression events. After any activation, the system needs immediate inspection and recharge before the kitchen can return to service.
Gas and clean-agent systems
NFPA 12 governs CO₂ suppression systems. NFPA 2001 governs clean-agent systems (FM-200, Novec 1230, IG-100 inert gas). Both require annual inspection, agent quantity verification (typically by weight), and full-discharge testing on the manufacturer-specified cycle.

For clean-agent installations on the Siemens Cerberus PRO platform, CAINtech installs the Siemens Sinorix product line as a Solution Partner. Sinorix 5112 (chemical clean agent) covers conventional total-flooding applications.
